The concept of a the Silent Disco has been around since the early 90’s when eco activists used the headphones to party outdoors in order to minimise the disturbance to wildlife then fast forward to Chicago in 2002 when Meg Duguid hosted ‘DANCE WITH ME’ a silent dance party, however to some the Silent Disco may still be a complete mystery!

At Silent Discomania we use state of the art fully rechargeable LED headphones that receive the music from powerful transmitters to ensure perfect quality and great range.

The music source is then plugged into the transmitter and away you go, you can have up to 3 transmitters running three separate music sources.

Full payment is required in advance of your shipping date in order to secure the headphones for your booking.

We also require a refundable security deposit to cover the charges in the unlikely event that you loose, break or damage any of our kit, this deposit varies depending on what kit you hire.

Our equipment is so easy to set up and use. You will receive full set up instructions with the order or just click here for our online easy follow instructional films page showing you how to set up all our available hire kit. All our Silent Disco headphones come fully charged there are 3 settings lights and flashing on = battery life 8 hours, lights only= battery life 10 hours, no lights or flash = battery life 12 hours.

Yes, we can provide you with any cable you require for your device, whether it is an iPod/iPhone/ipad or android device, DJ Mixer or Lap Top.

Our Falcon transmitters have a range of up to 100 metres uninterrupted, great quality sound even through walls. We also have mobile transmitters called Paraqueets perfect for outside tours, beach cleans & yoga events.
All our silent disco headphones come fully charged. There are 3 settings lights and flashing battery life = 8 hours, lights only battery life = 10 hours, no lights or flash battery life = 12 hours.
On each headphone is a button to change channel, a volume button to alter the volume & the power button to turn on and off the headsets. There is also a button to press turn lights and flashing on and off. Watch our ‘How to set up your silent disco’ short film.
 
Dry-hire means your kit will usually be delivered by our courier at least 2-3 working days before your event and collected the first working day afterwards. We always try to work with closely the customer to ensure a convenient day for both delivery and collection.
Anywhere dry! Both our transmitters and headsets have rechargeable batteries, the transmitters come fully charged for 5 hours use without power, or you can of course plug them into mains power. Plus our headphones come fully charged there are 3 settings, lights and flashing battery life 8 hours, lights only battery life 10 hours, no lights or flash battery life 12 hours.
YES, we don’t use batteries! All our headphones are fully rechargeable and do not use batteries. We are currently working on solar recharging options and purchasing a new electric Silent Discomania van.
 
 
Yes, our headphones are fully adjustable on size & padded, so are suitable for children, plus you can also easily turn down the volume on the individual headset for any child or person with sensitive hearing.
 
 
Dry hire means the headphones will be delivered and collected by our local courier, they will text you with an hour’s delivery and collection slot so you can ensure someone is in and plan your day around them. We will always work with you to ensure a convenient day for both delivery and collection.
 
Both our transmitters and headsets have rechargeable batteries, the transmitters are charged for 5 hours use without power, or you can of course plug them into mains power. Our headsets are charged for up to 12 hours use, there are 3 settings lights and flashing on = battery life 8 hours, lights only on = battery life 10 hours, no lights or flash on = battery life 12 hours.
 
Our other kit available to hire such as disco lights we also have battery charged options however our lasers and effects equipment – such as Smoke and Bubble machines DO require mains power.
